George offers more than 15 years of experience in port and terminal planning, design, operations, simulations, and academic research. In addition to his extensive consulting experience, he has served as an associate professor of Civil Engineering at the American University of Beirut. He is skilled in using numerical tools such as data mining, data analytics, and artificial intelligence to efficiently solve complex engineering problems. As a consultant, George has worked with port authorities, terminal operators, and investors on projects from inception through planning, pre-feasibility, feasibility and master planning to alternatives development and analysis, and detailed design.
George received his Bachelor of Engineering from the Lebanese American University in Byblos, Lebanon, and his Master of Engineering from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. He also holds a doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Southern California. George is a registered professional engineer in California and a member of the Order of Engineers in Lebanon.
