Welcome Vasilis Stamatiou

Vasilis is a geotechnical engineer with 26 years of experience in the design of maritime projects. He has been involved in all stages of design delivery, from site selection and feasibility studies, to detailed design and support during construction. His experience includes the design of maritime projects, such as ports, marinas, breakwaters, quay walls, revetments, piled structures, mooring and berthing structures, reclamations, and coastal protection. He has extensive experience in civil projects, such as airports, bridges, tunnels, rail, roads, tall buildings, commercial developments, and residential. Stamatiou’s experience also includes ground investigation (mainly offshore), ground modelling and parameter selection, design of earth retaining structures, foundation design, design of piled structures, slope stability, seismic design (including assessment of liquefaction potential), ground improvement and settlement analysis. Vasilishas also been appointed as an expert witness and provided evidence in court for arbitrations related to the design and construction.

Vasilis earned a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, 1998 and is a member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.
