Our team assisted in identifying cargo, customers, and business opportunities for the port. The study assessed the structure of Puerto Rico’s import and export trade, focusing on the U.S. market, the Greater and Lesser Antilles, Mexico, Central America, and the north coast of South America. It also considered mainline European and Asian opportunities. The regional transshipment market and interline relay market opportunities were reviewed, and Moffatt & Nichol undertook stakeholder interviews with major importers/exporters, logistics service providers/freight forwarders and ocean carriers trading with and in Puerto Rico.
