Terminal 46 Cruise Study

The Port of Seattle is the busiest cruise port on the U.S. West Coast.

Moffatt & Nichol provided commercial advisory support services to Ports America for the Seattle Terminal 46 cruise terminal redevelopment project. Our market study analyzed the size and growth of the cruise market potentially available to support Terminal 46 development. The results of our study were incorporated into the modeling and design work being assembled by Ports America for there development of the terminal.

Moffatt & Nichol assessed industry growth trends, both historic and those observed in the current marketplace overall, and in the Alaska market. We provided an overview of passenger demographics for the Alaska cruise market and how this varied from national demographics. We also examined the revenue items in the cruise terminal industry in Seattle, Alaska, and the broader U.S. West Coast, and provided annualized forecasts of passenger and vessel throughput to Seattle.
