This project required coordination amongst the numerous stakeholders, which included City of Beaumont California Department of Fish and Wildlife, Riverside-Corona Resource Conservation District, US Army Corps of Engineers, and the Regional Water Quality Control Board.
Moffatt & Nichol provided regulatory permitting services required for the construction of a new interchange at SR-60/Potrero Boulevard in Beaumont, CA. Prior to our involvement on the project, previous permits obtained for the project, including a 404 Nationwide Permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, 401 Certification from the Regional Water Quality Control Board, and 1602 Agreement from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife had expired. Relying on experience and relationships within the regulatory agencies, Moffatt &Nichol was able to assist the City to expedite obtaining the 404 Permit, within three weeks of the initial coordination call; 401 Certification; and 1602Agreement, within two weeks of the application submittal, for this critical transportation project.
