While many communities up and down the East Coast will be affected by sea level rise, hurricanes, and other climate related events in the future, the residents of South Florida are already feeling many of the effects. In an effort to ensure the region does more than merely survive these events, Monroe County will host the 11th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit on December 3-5 in Key West, Florida. The summit includes local, state, and federal officials, as well as experts in the growing field of resiliency, to discuss plans to help southeast Florida thrive. Moffatt & Nichol's Director of Resilience and Adaption, and Miami resident, Lynette Cardoch will be in attendance to share her knowledge and collaborate with others on climate-related issues affecting the area.
