Several Moffatt & Nichol engineers represented the firm at the 2019 Western Bridge Engineers' Seminar in Boise, ID. Our very own Supervisory Coastal/Hydraulic & Hydrology Engineer Weixia Jin, PhD, PE, kicked off the week with a presentation on hydraulic and scour analyses for the 13th Street bridge at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California. The biennial seminar is a cooperative effort by the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Departments of Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. The event brought together experts from governmental agencies, consultants, contractors, educators, and suppliers to discuss current topics important for designing, constructing, and maintaining bridges.
