Moffatt & Nichol Welcomes Jose Martinez

Jose has extensive experience with public works and more than nine years of experience at the director level in the public sector, leading municipal divisions responsible for transportation, engineering, asset management systems, water distribution and wastewater collection systems, utilities, and other municipal infrastructure. His private-sector experience includes cradle-to-grave responsibility for capital improvement projects. Jose holds emergency response system training certification from the Federal Emergency Management Administration and has developed emergency response plans for public infrastructure, as well as National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Phase II programming for stormwater runoff. Prior to entering the private sector, Jose served as a member of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers while serving in the North Carolina National Guard.

Jose completed his undergraduate degrees in environmental engineering and construction management at North Carolina State University, where he went on to complete a Master of Civil Engineering and Master of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. He is licensed as a professional engineer and professional land surveyor in North Carolina and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
