Adrian Pearson, a marine structural engineer in Moffatt & Nichol’s Long Beach office, recently won third place in the annual PIANC De Paepe-Willems Award for his paper titled, “PIANC WG 153 Mooring Loads: State of Practice and New Design Considerations for Monopile Dolphins." PIANC De Paepe-Willems Award recognizes young professionals, under the age of 40, who have authored outstanding papers related to design, maintenance, and construction of inland and maritime waterways, ports, and coastal areas. We are proud of Adrian and the other young professionals in the firm who are paving the way in advancing engineering methods in the maritime field. Congratulations, Adrian!
