Teamwork Drives Success for Long Beach Container Terminal

It was the project of a lifetime. Twelve years in the making, the landmark Port of Long Beach Middle Harbor Redevelopment project is now home to the Long Beach Container Terminal (LBCT)—currently the world’s cleanest marine terminal and North America’s most technologically advanced. The product of seamless collaboration among terminal owner, operator, and program manager, the 300-plus-acre future-forward terminal runs on electrified operating equipment that has effectively reduced emissions significantly and doubled capacity. Capable of handling some of the world’s largest container vessels, the terminal’s annual throughput is expected to reach 3 million TEUs(twenty-foot equivalent units), supported by an expanded portwide rail system with the capacity to move 35 percent of containerized cargo by rail. We invite you to take a virtual tour of the Middle Harbor and LBCT and hear what our clients are saying about us.
