Welcome Nick Lewis

Nick is a chartered scientist with extensive experience in coastal, estuarine and river environmental science and engineering. His international experience includes project work throughout the United Kingdom, Bermuda, Greece, Australia, and New Zealand.

As a director and senior scientist, Nick has been responsible for projects in a number of market sectors, including coastal and flood risk resilience, ports and harbors, offshore resources, environmental enhancement, transport infrastructure, and land development. He also has extensive practical experience in coastal and river geomorphology, river rehabilitation, coastal and river engineering, hydraulic and water quality modelling, flood risk management, coastal management, climate hazards and climate change adaptation and environmental assessment.

In addition to his project work, Nick is an active contributor to the profession. In 2014 Nick co-authored a textbook on beach renourishment with Professor Eric Bird. Nick has contributed to industry standards and manuals and has been an active participant in World Association for Waterborne Transport Infrastructure (PIANC) working groups.

Nick holds membership in the Environment Institute of Australia and New Zealand and the British Society of Geomorphology.
