Welcome Paul Wallis

Paul is a senior structural engineer with more than 26 years of experience in the design and analysis of building and non-building structures. He has worked in a variety of industries, including marine and upland facilities, upstream oil and gas, advanced industrial manufacturing, institutional, commercial, and retail. Paul is well-practiced in the evaluation of existing structures, design for expansion of existing facilities, and design of new facilities. He has participated in conventional design-bid-build, design-build, and integrated project delivery methods of project delivery.  

Paul is registered to practice professionally as a civil and structural engineer in more than a dozen states, including as a structural engineer in both Alaska and Hawaii and as a registered professional engineer in Washington State. He was invited to participate in the cut score workshop for the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying’s inaugural 16-hour structural engineering examination and serves as the statewide coordinator and board secretary for his state’s structural assessment and visual evaluation (SAVE) coalition, a post-disaster response group.

Paul has strong interests in design quality oversight processes, engineering and construction document standards development, and ensuring the technical and professional growth of the next generation of structural engineers.
