Stephen Hjelm is a principal maritime structural engineer, who joins the company with 20-plus years of extensive waterfront experience while working with global consultancy firms. His fields of experience include structural design and analysis for steel, concrete, and timber structures, as well as consultancy for port planning, technical due diligence, and independent verification. Stephen is also familiar with designing to international codes and standards, including British, Indian, U.S., and Canadian. Stephen’s experience includes working for government and private clients for a broad range of projects, from timber piers to wharf structures, seawalls, and protective structures, with an emphasis on large commercial ports and public works.
Stephen is a Chartered Professional Engineer in Australia and a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Queensland.
