Prior to this project, Moffatt & Nichol provided an assessment of the Harris Creek storm drain.
Baltimore City Department of Public Works used the results of the Moffatt & Nichol risk assessment of the Harris Creek storm drain as the recommendation for the development of contract documents for the structural rehabilitation of the storm drain. Moffatt & Nichol led the design effort for the structural rehabilitation of 3,400 linear feet of 10-foot diameter brick storm drain with an additional 3,500 linear feet of minor spot repairs. The firm also completed an alternatives analysis of the various structural lining technologies, a geotechnical investigation and analysis, a finite element analysis, a hydraulic analysis, and an in-drain baseline survey. Moffatt & Nichol also developed a list of pre-approved structural lining technologies and contract drawings and specifications.
