The Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas is a world class yachting and vacationing destination.
Moffatt & Nichol provided planning and design services and construction administration for a world-class superyacht marina facility that extends the ambience and excitement of the Atlantis Resort development. The marina facility includes features and amenities that are expected by the owners and captains of luxury yachts. Moffatt & Nichol designed the docks, electrical and mechanical utilities, and pump-out facilities to accommodate vessels ranging up to 200 feet in length. The firm also developed the basin configuration, bulkhead designs, and excavation plans. Design development required an extensive 12-week period of partnering between the design, ownership, and construction teams to meet a very aggressive construction schedule. Moffatt & Nichol received a Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers’ Engineering Excellence Award for this project.
